Very impressive kit. Surface is finely engraved throughout and rivets appear restrained. It easily surpases the venerable Tamiya kit in most details, and for the price there is no question which one you'll choose.On the down side decals are thick, it has a moulding line in the middle of the canopy and is missing bombs and bomb racks, and missed canvas texture.

I just got this delivered today along with the Super Hornet and I tell you what, this kit is outstanding. Ironically, my son is in the Navy at NAS Oceana in Virgnia Beach and started his career with VF 31 working as an airframer on the F-14D. Now he's with VFA 143 which is one of the decal options on the Super Bug.(which I also bought) Tamiya's F 14 is still a good kit but Trumpeter's blows them away. I hope Trumpeter comes thru with the A6 Intruder.
