I agree with the other poster. This inexpensive Sherman kit is a great starter kit or even for 'parts' only. The tracks should be replaced with an aftermarket type and the other areas that need work are all part of the hobby. Easy fixs and nice weekend project. Slap on some Blast stowage, a metal gun barrel, a new figure or two and presto.
The Italeri M4A1 has held the line for years as one of the better Sherman kits available. Even with the flood of newer M4 kits today, the Italeri M4A1 can still be made into a very realistic piece. The key areas it falls short are the hull and turret texture, as well as the suspension and tracks. The texture issues are easy enough to fix, but you may not want to invest much more time and money to upgrade the suspension. At $20, it's a terrific bargain, so build yours OOTB just for fun.
